Our core values drive our mission, inform our strategies, and provide a lens for decisions and evaluations.

MarinCAN is a collaborative network of community-based organizations, public school districts, colleges, funders and individuals wherein capacity is built throughout the community on multiple levels to:                   

• Expand and improve network-members’ engagement with students and families
• Foster mutual accountability among stakeholders
• Collectively support student and family aspirations and attainment of post-secondary goals
• Align the roles that schools and agencies play in preparing and ensuring students are ready and able to attend and succeed in college.

MarinCAN will accomplish these strategies by:

• Professional learning communities, within targeted regions, will support equitable college access and success.
• Resources are aligned and integrated to maximize impact.
• Collaborations support and integrate culturally relevant and resonant systems, programs and pathways in coordination with K-12 Marin schools.
• Institutional and community beliefs and norms support equitable educational opportunities.
• Students have the resources, information and guidance to successfully pursue educational opportunities.
